SERVICE (subject to status)
Safe
and Secure service:
Staff are trained by Lancashire
Constabulary to provide crime prevention advice. Officers will carry out:
- A survey of your home and
advise on any necessary security measures to make your home safe and
secure.
- Provide and install
security measures to doors and windows if required.
- If you are over 60 we will provide
and install Distraction burglary kits to the front door to help you
tackle unscrupulous door to door salesman/cowboy builders.
Fire Safety:
We will make referrals to
Lancashire Fire & Rescue service for a FREE fire safety check and
installation of smoke alarms.
Falls/Accident Prevention:
If you are over 60 we will carry
out an Falls/Accident Prevention survey
which will include inspecting your home to identify any trip, slips
or fall hazards and where necessary carry out any essential repair that would
prevent a fall/accident e.g. securing loose carpets, securing trailing
wires, easing stiff doors, extend your phone wire so that it is nearer to
where you sleep etc.,
